Tenby’s south-facing beaches are sheltered and enjoy one of the sunniest climates in Wales. Many attractions and Caldey boats run only from spring to autumn.
Season by season
Spring (March–May)
Fresh, quiet and increasingly sunny. Caldey boats usually start around Easter.

Peak season: lifeguards, packed beaches and busy streets. Book everything ahead.
Autumn (September–November)
Warm seas in September and a lively events calendar, then a quiet November.
Winter (December–February)
Calm and inexpensive. The Boxing Day charity swim draws big crowds.

Approximate long-term averages, rounded; daylight is the approximate time between sunrise and sunset mid-month. Wales is mild but wet, and the mountains are colder, windier and wetter than the coast: pack layers in every season.
